Dibond® Butler Finish Screen Print Inks
Screen-printing is a common method of decorating the brushed aluminum surface of Butler Finish Dibond® material.
Butler Finish Dibond consists of two thin sheets of aluminum over a plastic core. One of the aluminum sheets has a brushed aluminum finish and polyester clear coat and the other sheet is a standard coil coated surface. Screen-printing is a common method of decorating the brushed aluminum surface of the material. Although it would be impossible to run a trial of all screen print inks, Alcan Composites USA, Inc. requested that two screen print ink manufacturers test different types of screen-print inks on Butler Finish Dibond® material. The ink manufacturers’ recommendations are listed below.
Alcan Composites USA, Inc. recommends that you consult with the ink manufacturer if there are any questions regarding the use of a particular ink and to test any application prior to initiating a production run.
